#### Trunc

Function: trunc (<expr>) Annotates the internal representation of the general expression <expr> so that it is displayed as if its sums were truncated Taylor series. <expr> is not otherwise modified.

Example:

```          (%i1) expr: x^2 + x + 1;
2
(%o1)                      x  + x + 1
(%i2) trunc (expr);
2
(%o2)                  1 + x + x  + . . .
(%i3) is (expr = trunc (expr));
(%o3)                         true```
There are also some inexact matches for `trunc`. Try `?? trunc` to see them.
```(%o1)                                true
(%i2) ```
