Function: loadfile (<filename>) Evaluates Lisp expressions in <filename>. loadfile does not invoke file_search, so filename must include the file extension and as much of the path as needed to find the file.

loadfile can process files created by save, translate_file, and compile_file. The user may find it more convenient to use load instead of loadfile.
