Function: identity (<x>) Returns <x> for any argument <x>.

sublist_indices ( 0, 1 < 0, 2 < 1, 2 > 1, 2 > 0], identity); assume (x < -1); map (maybe, [x > 0, x < 0, x < -2]); sublist_indices ([x > 0, x < 0, x < -2], identity); ' title='Identity Example' width='30%' />

Examples:

identity may be used as a predicate when the arguments are already Boolean values.

          (%i1) every (identity, [true, true]);
          (%o1)                         true

There are also some inexact matches for identity. Try ?? identity to see them.

(%o1)                                true
