Function: col (<M>, <i>) Returns the <i>th column of the matrix <M>. The return value is a matrix.

a : matrix([-3, 4, 5, 4], [2, 3,-1, 1], [3, 5,-1, 2], [3,-1, 4, 1]);
n : length(a);
t : matrix([1/a[1, 1]]);
k :1;
u : rest(col(a, k + 1), k-n);
v : transpose(rest(transpose(row(a, k + 1)), k-n));
p : t.u;

There are also some inexact matches for col. Try ?? col to see them.
